Carlos managed to finish in 5 shows, with three 5-point majors, a 5-point major reserve, and a BOS in Sweepstakes at the National.

Carlos significantly injured his right hip in October 2007. He was severely lame for 2 months and visited multiple vets to help determine the damage. Meghen witnessed the injury, and Carlos had not been lame prior to the injury. We had his hips preliminarily x-rayed at about a year old because of this. His right hip already had changes on it, while his left hip was normal. It has been suggested by our vet (Dr. Michelle Tilghman) that Carlos fractured his hip along the growth plate. We will never know what his right hip would have looked like if he had not injured himself. Because of this, we do not have plans to breed Carlos unless his half-siblings all prove to have exceptionally good hips. |
