Happy birthday to our "Duck" litter!

Good Bye to Greta

Ann and Mike Gilliam have had a very difficult day. Their close friend, Ch. Statesman's Llanddwyn Acclaim, left this life. Greta was the Gilliam's first Welsh springer and they have become very active in the breed.
Greta is remembered for her 1997 Best of Winners win at the national specialty handled by Marta Stoneman. She will live on through her children and offspring of her children: Ch. Statsman's Tapestry "Emma" Duvall; Ch. Statesman's Triple Crown "Delta Wharton"; Ch. Statesman's Tennyson "Daniel" Bassell; and Ch. Statesman's Autumn Amberlynne "Clancy" Helms.
Thank you Mike and Ann for the wonderful life Greta had with you.

Statesman would like to congratulate Marta Stoneman and her boy "Niklas" (Statesman's Ambassador) on their success at the Maryland Sporting Dog show. Niklas was RWD to the major each day. On Saturday he was Best puppy in breed and eventually.....BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!

Frank and Aki Pampush offered to help socialize our new puppy, Lissen, by puppy sitting her for a couple days. She had lots of new experiences during her visit and we are very thankful to Frank and Aki for helping!

to Leena Laine and Marjo Jaakkola on the loss of "Ducky", INT FIN S N CH ITW-00 SW-02 NORDW-02 NORDW-06 FINW-03 BENTON EVERYBODY DUCK "Ducky".
Ducky was the sire of our "duck" themed litter. He was a lovely dog. He was almost 12 years old.

Great news from two of the puppies from the Fil x Winnie litter.
Maddux (Trystyn Statesman's Cactus Blue) was BOB from the classes for a major at the Greenville shows. Maddux is owned by Susan Doss and was co-bred by Statesman and Trystyn WSS.
Tatum (Trystyn Statesman's Lakota Red) earned a leg on her Junior Hunter title at the GA hunting tests. She is owned by Susan Willingham.

After a second tour of duty in Iraq plus parachute training down in Georgia, our nephew Steve and his wife, Anna, are now located in Missouri. They are shown in front of their new home along with Susan's sister, Steve's mom, Mary.

Ozzie Huff will be two years old soon and is a pretty accomplished hunting dog. He is shown here flushing a quail. Kudos to his owners for their training and photography skills.
Ozzie was bred by Susan Willingham and is sired by Ch. Bentcroft Statesman's Emblem RN "Felix" out of Ch. Ivywild's Mazie Morning Dew JH SH "Mazie".

Statesman's Yes Snow Dancer is shown doing two of the many things that he loves to do. He found the doll while on a walk in a field and made it clear that he wanted her forever as he was willing to carry her for a quarter of a mile! He loves his daddy's slippers and to date has not destroyed them. What a good boy. He loves his car rides, walks in woods, field, and on beach where he chases the waves. He gets long walks each day and his mom and dad never miss a day because they know that "A TIRED PUPPY IS A GOOD PUPPY"!

Merit Spilker graduated at the top of his training class recently. Of course, this is due to both his innate genius as well as he equally brilliant trainers. It does take two for success in dog training.

These two puppies just arrived from Sweden! They are sired by SUCH Clumbrolds Bartender and out of Am Ch Statesman's You Gotta Have Heart. Lissen will live at Statesman and Trooper will live with the Collins family in the Atlanta area.
We would like to thank Margareta Edman (Clumbrolds WSS) and Ola Erikkson (Geltman's WSS) for allowing these two beautiful puppies to come to America!
